Locum Ready is seeking an autonomous Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join a GP practice in Leyland for flexible, sessional work. You will assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, with independent prescribing and comprehensive clinical reviews.

Join a well-structured primary care team including GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs, with morning and afternoon clinics and the potential for long-term block bookings.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification (Level 7 / postgraduate).
  • V300 Independent Prescribing.
  • Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or walk-in settings.
  • Familiarity with EMIS / SystmOne / Vision.
  • Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

  • Running minor illness and acute assessment clinics.
  • Completing long-term condition reviews where required.
  • Telephone triage and clinical decision-making.
  • Independent prescribing and medication reviews.
  • Ordering and interpreting investigations.
  • Clear, accurate clinical documentation.
  • Working collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs.

Job description

Locum Ready is looking for a Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to work for a GP practice in Leyland. This role is ideal for an autonomous clinician seeking flexible sessional work within a well-organised primary care environment, with full support from an established multidisciplinary team.

You will independently assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, deliver evidence-based care, and contribute to high-quality clinical outcomes. The practice offers a structured workflow, clear expectations and a supportive clinical setup to make each session efficient and manageable.

Key Responsibilities
