Locum Ready is seeking an autonomous Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to work in a GP practice in Jarrow. The role offers flexible sessional work within a well-organised primary care environment and full support from an established multidisciplinary team.

You will independently assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, deliver evidence-based care, and contribute to high-quality clinical outcomes in a structured workflow with a supportive clinical setup for efficient sessions.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification (Level 7/Postgraduate).
  • V300 Independent Prescribing.
  • Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or walk-in settings.
  • Ability to work autonomously and safely.
  • Familiarity with common primary care systems (EMIS / SystmOne / Vision).
  • Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

  • Running minor illness and acute assessment clinics.
  • Completing long-term condition reviews where required.
  • Telephone triage and clinical decision-making.
  • Independent prescribing and medication reviews.
  • Ordering and interpreting investigations.
  • Clear, accurate clinical documentation.
  • Working collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs.
