Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join a GP practice in Heath. The role offers autonomous, sessional work with support from a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

You'll assess, diagnose and manage presentations, deliver evidence-based care and contribute to positive clinical outcomes in a structured, well-organised environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification (Level 7/Postgraduate).
• V300 Independent Prescribing.
• Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or walk-in settings.
• Ability to work autonomously and safely.
• Familiarity with EMIS / SystmOne / Vision.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Run minor illness and acute assessment clinics.
• Complete long-term condition reviews as required.
• Telephone triage and clinical decision-making.
• Independent prescribing and medication reviews.
• Order and interpret investigations.
• Maintain clear, accurate clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs.

You will independently assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, deliver evidence-based care, and contribute to high-quality clinical outcomes. The practice offers a structured workflow, clear expectations and a supportive clinical setup to make each session efficient and manageable.

Key Responsibilities

• Running minor illness and acute assessment clinics
• Completing long-term condition reviews where required
• Telephone triage and clinical decision-making
• Independent prescribing and medication reviews
• Ordering and interpreting investigations
• Clear, accurate clinical documentation
• Working collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs
