Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to work with a GP practice in Oakham. The ACP will conduct autonomous clinical assessments, perform safe decision-making and manage patient care within a structured primary care environment.

Join an established multidisciplinary team, run your own clinics, and support both urgent and routine demand. Flexible sessions up to 4 days per week with morning and afternoon clinics offered, and long-term ongoing sessions available.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or UTC settings.
• Confident autonomous clinician with strong decision-making skills.
• Independent Prescribing qualification preferred (V300 or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Conducting acute and same-day access clinics
• Autonomous assessment, diagnosis and management of undifferentiated presentations
• Telephone triage and clinical streaming
• Ordering and interpreting investigations
• Prescribing safely within scope where qualified
• Managing follow-up actions, results and referral workflows
• Documenting clearly using the practice clinical system
