Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to work in a GP practice in Witham. The role offers structured, well-supported clinical sessions for an autonomous ACP who thrives in a primary care setting with clear workflows and steady patient demand.

You will work alongside GPs and nurses, providing comprehensive assessments, maintaining accurate records, and prescribing independently where qualified. Flexible ad-hoc or regular sessions with morning/afternoon clinics are available.

Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical Practitioner training at Level 7
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent) desirable
• Experience in primary care, urgent care or emergency settings
• Excellent clinical reasoning and patient communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously in clinic
• Enhanced DBS and up-to-date clinical training

Responsibilities

• Managing same-day and routine ACP appointments
• Assessing, diagnosing and treating a wide range of presentations
• Supporting on-the-day demand through telephone triage
• Prescribing independently where qualified
• Actioning results, referrals and follow-up tasks
• Maintaining accurate and compliant patient records
