Job summary

TXM Recruit is seeking a Locomotive Maintenance Technician / Mobile Fitter based in Derby to support maintenance, inspection and repair of locomotives and rolling stock. You will work on Class 37, 43 and 67 locomotives, performing scheduled maintenance and on-site repairs.

The role requires hands-on mechanical or electrical maintenance experience, a full UK driving licence, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team within a rail environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in engineering or equivalent is required.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance is essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is important.
• Strong understanding of engineering standards and safe working practices is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled maintenance at approved maintenance locations.

TXM Recruit is currently recruiting for a Locomotive Maintenance Technician / Mobile Fitter based in Derby.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical or electrical engineer to join a leading rail organisation, supporting the maintenance, inspection and repair of locomotives and rolling stock.

The Role

You will provide effective maintenance support across rail freight vehicles, working on Class 37, 43 and 67 locomotives, alongside wagon inspections.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled maintenance at approved maintenance locations.
