Job summary

North Lanarkshire Council is hiring for a part-time role in Airdrie focused on delivering care and support to vulnerable older adults within our communities. The role involves a person-centred approach to ensure access to activities spanning social, leisure and lifelong learning.

Educated to standard grade level or equivalent, with SVQ 2 in Health and Social Care preferred. PVG scheme membership is required before starting. Working pattern: Mon-Fri 10:50–15:30. Interviews on 9 October.

Job description

NLC4 £28,533 - £29,899 (Pro Rata)

22 Hours per week

Based within Airdrie Integrated Day Services and if successful you will work as part of a team focussed on delivering high-quality support and care packages to vulnerable older adults within our communities.

Your role will be to provide a person-centred approach toward to individuals, ensuring they receive support and access to a range of activities which encompass social, leisure and lifelong learning pursuits.

Educated to standard grade level or equivalent, some experience of providing personal care to individuals is essential. An SVQ 2 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent in a relevant discipline and previous experience of working with older adults in a community setting is desirable.

You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role.

Working pattern: Mon-Fri 10.50-15.30

Interviews will be held on 9th October.
