Job summary

Places for People in Wakefield is seeking a qualified Joiner to carry out joinery installations and repairs in domestic properties. You’ll work across occupied and void homes with a company van and a consistent workload in your local area.

The role offers core hours 08:00–16:30, tools and PPE provided, a pension with matched contributions, and a bonus scheme up to 2%. DBS check may be required and apprenticeship support is available.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Joinery.
• Experience working as a Joiner, ideally within social housing or domestic properties.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Based within the WF postcode due to the patch covered.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out joinery installations and repairs within domestic properties.
• Completing work such as doors, kitchens, flooring and internal fittings.
• Working to specifications, reports, and agreed standards.
• Protecting Customers’ homes and belongings while completing work.
• Collaborating with supervisors, schedulers and wider teams to meet deadlines.
• Recording work activity and completing required documentation.
• Supporting apprentices and contributing to team performance and KPIs.
