Job summary

Smart Solutions is currently recruiting a Loading Shovel Driver to join a busy recycling facility in Rugby.

This role is ideal for experienced plant operators seeking ongoing, long-term work with a well-established recycling operation. You will operate licensed plant and may receive training on additional equipment as part of your development.

You will also take on general site duties, maintain high safety standards, and support other operations as required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating mobile plant on industrial sites.
• Must have a valid Loading Shovel License.
• Willing to undertake training on additional plant and machinery.
• Comfortable with rotating day and night shifts.
• Commitment to health and safety on site.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile plant safely and efficiently around the site.
• Support the site's recycling operations using licensed equipment.
• Carry out general housekeeping to keep areas clean and safe.
• Assist with sorting and moving recyclable materials as required.
• Support loading, unloading, and movement of materials around the site.
• Work as part of the wider operations team and assist with site duties.
• Conduct daily equipment checks and report defects or safety concerns.
• Follow all health, safety, environmental, and site procedures.
• Wear PPE correctly and maintain it.
• Contribute to achieving production and recycling targets.
