Job summary

Smart Solutions is recruiting for a Loading Shovel Driver to join our client in Ardley, OX27. The role involves operating a wheeled loading shovel and related plant to process food and green waste, with a strong emphasis on health and safety.

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7am–5pm, paying £15.30 per hour with weekly pay on Fridays. A valid Loading Shovel certificate/licence is essential or preferred, and experience in waste/recycling is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a loading shovel role.
• Valid loading shovel licence (preferred).
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Load outgoing vehicles and separate waste.
• Transport materials within the facility and feed lines/hoppers.
• Support general yard operations and cooperate with site management.
• Be aware of environmental factors—weather, noise, dust, litter.
• Empty chutes and bunkers as required.

Loading Shovel Driver

A current valid Loading Shovel (wheeled) certificate along with previous experience is essential.

Job location: Ardley, OX27

Pay rate: £15.30 per hour, weekly pay, every Friday
Saturday x 1.5rate &Sunday x2 rate

Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm

Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for a Loading Shovel Driver to join our successful client based in the Ardley, OX27 area. Our client is a leader within garden and food waste composting facility industry.

Loading Shovel Driver - Duties & Responsibilities

The role involves operating Loading Shovel Truck to perform a various of task, processing food and green waste including operating wheeled loading shovel, mobile shredder, mobile screener and maintenance associated with plant used. Drive loading shovel to transport materials within the facility & ensure the health & safety standards are met.

• Loading outgoing vehicles and separating waste
• Transporting material, feeding lines and hoppers with material for process
• Supporting general yard operations & co-operate with site management as required
• Be aware of environmental factors and act accordingly – weather conditions, wind, noise, dust and litter
• Emptying chutes and bunkers

Loading Shovel Driver - Person Specification

• Experience in similar position
• Valid Loading Shovel license
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
• Ability to adapt quickly to a fast paced, dynamic work environment
• Previous experience within a waste & recycling industrial environment would be an advantage
