Job summary

Smart Solutions is hiring a Loading Shovel Operator for a busy recycling and waste facility in Leicester (LE4). The role involves safely operating a loading shovel, loading waste and recyclables, and feeding processing lines to maintain production.

Immediate start with full-time, ongoing work and weekly pay. Candidates should have previous loading shovel experience and a valid licence (NPORS/CPCS or equivalent), be reliable, and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a Loading Shovel is essential.
• Licence/certification (NPORS/CPCS or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Operating a loading shovel safely and efficiently around the site.
• Loading waste and recyclable materials into hoppers, bays, containers and processing equipment.
• Moving, stockpiling and segregating materials within the yard.
• Feeding processing lines to ensure continuous production.
• Completing daily vehicle and equipment checks, reporting any defects.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
• Following all site health & safety procedures and traffic management rules.
• Assisting with general site duties and labouring tasks when required.
• Supporting production targets while maintaining high safety standards.

Loading Shovel Operator – Recycling & Waste Facility

£16.00 per hour
Monday to Friday | 6:30am – 4:30pm

We're currently recruiting an experienced Loading Shovel Operator to join a busy recycling and waste management facility in Leicester (LE4).

This is a full-time, ongoing opportunity with consistent hours and a great team environment.

The Role

• Operating a loading shovel safely and efficiently around the site.
• Loading waste and recyclable materials into hoppers, bays, containers and processing equipment.

Requirements
