Job summary

G MASS, a Lloyd's market insurer, seeks a qualified accountant to lead the technical reporting for its Lloyd's business. You will own the end-to-end quarterly close, loading data into the close model and coordinating with Actuarial for sign-off.

You will drive improvements in reporting processes and system changes while supporting the external audit cycle and drafting technical accounting papers.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with 3–5+ years of experience in insurance/market
• Experience delivering quarterly closes and technical reporting
• Strong IFRS knowledge (IFRS 17, IFRS 4, UK GAAP) and ability to explain numbers clearly

Responsibilities

• Run quarterly technical close across IFRS 17, IFRS 4 and UK GAAP
• Produce IFRS 17 and IFRS 4 technical results for Lloyd's entity
• Prepare closing packs for Group Reporting and ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Interrogate IFRS 17 movements and explain drivers of performance
• Collaborate with Actuarial function to challenge outputs and resolve queries
• Drive process improvements and system enhancements in financial reporting
• Support external audit and draft technical accounting papers
• Contribute to wider team priorities as needed
