Markel International Finance is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to lead Lloyd’s and UK GAAP reporting for Syndicate 3000. You will partner with Finance, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance and Audit to deliver accurate, timely reports and insightful commentary.

The role sits within the Lloyd’s and Solvency UK Reporting team and offers a pathway to influence reporting quality, controls and performance analysis across a global insurance business.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Exceptional analytical and data interrogation skills.
• Advanced Excel skills for large financial datasets.
• Ability to translate complex data into concise commentary.
• Experience with reporting tools to improve efficiency and automation.
• Strong attention to detail and meeting tight deadlines.

Aufgaben

• Lead Lloyd’s regulatory returns preparation and evaluation.
• Produce quarterly and annual UK GAAP financial reporting for Syndicate 3000.
• Assist Lloyd’s returns such as QMA Delta, QMB, RRQ, and other submissions.
• Perform analytical reviews of underwriting results and costs.
• Maintain relationships with Finance, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance and Audit.
• Review and enhance reporting processes, controls and documentation.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and develop reporting capability.
• Monitor Lloyd’s, PRA and regulatory changes and assess impact.
