Job summary

G MASS seeks a qualified accountant to join its finance team and lead technical reporting for the Lloyd’s business. You will own the end-to-end quarterly close, loading data into the close model and coordinating with the Actuarial function to sign off.

You will drive process improvements, deliver robust reporting under IFRS 17, IFRS 4 and UK GAAP, and support external audits. The role suits a hands-on professional who can translate complex insurance numbers into clear commentary and work under

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• 3 to 5+ years’ experience in insurance, Lloyd’s/London Market.
• Hands-on IFRS 17 experience with IFRS 4 and UK GAAP knowledge.
• Proven track record delivering quarterly close and technical reporting.
• Strong ability to translate complex numbers into clear commentary.
• Experience supporting external audits and technical papers.

Responsibilities

• Run quarterly technical close across IFRS 17, IFRS 4 and UK GAAP.
• Produce IFRS 17 and IFRS 4 technical results for the Lloyd’s entity.
• Prepare closing packs for Group Reporting and ensure compliance.
• Interrogate IFRS 17 balances and explain drivers of performance.
• Collaborate with Actuarial function during close.
• Drive process, control and system enhancements in financial reporting.
• Support external audit and draft technical accounting papers.
• Contribute to wider team priorities as needed.
