Job summary

Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Lived Experience Practitioner to join the Specialist Psychotherapies Service. You will draw on your recovery journey to support and inspire others in their recovery, helping them build hope, resilience and confidence for the future.

A key part of the role involves supporting and co-facilitating the Moving On Group, working within a compassionate multidisciplinary team, and contributing your lived experience to service

Responsibilities

Co-facilitating the Moving On Group, supporting service users as they transition from our Compassion Focused Group Programme and continue their recovery journey.
Creating a safe, compassionate and recovery-focused environment that promotes hope, resilience and self-management.
Sharing lived experience in a purposeful and professional way to inspire and support others in their recovery.
Working alongside multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver psychologically informed and trauma-informed support.
Contributing lived-experience perspectives to service development, group delivery and quality improvement initiatives.
Supporting staff understanding through consultation, reflective discussions and training where appropriate.
Building effective relationships with colleagues.
Maintaining accurate records, participating in supervision, and working within safeguarding, confidentiality and professional frameworks.
