Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust is seeking a Peer Support Practitioner to work with service users, using your lived experience to inspire hope and empower recovery. You will support individuals to identify meaningful goals, create personal recovery plans, and participate in care meetings with consent, while maintaining confidentiality and working under supervision.

Qualifications

• Lived experience of mental health problems and willing to share experiences.
• Willingness to train to tell your story and knowledge of personal recovery.
• Ability to support service users in recovery planning and goal setting.

Responsabilités

• Deliver personalised recovery support and help service users create individual recovery plans.
• Share lived experience safely to model coping strategies and build trust.
• Attend care meetings with service users to advocate and support their voice.
• Contribute to care delivery and reporting under supervision to reflect service users' views.
• Promote peer support and assist in collecting patient experience surveys.
• Maintain safety, confidentiality and professional standards in line with NHS policies.
• Participate in team meetings, supervision, and personal development.
