Job summary

West Midlands Combined Authority is hiring a Lived Experience and Co-production Lead for the Changing Futures programme in Birmingham. The role focuses on embedding lived experience insights into regional governance and system reform.

You will work across local government, health, housing and the VCSE sector, building networks and providing specialist advice to senior leaders to drive person-centred and trauma-informed services.

Qualifications

• Significant experience designing and embedding co-production within multi-agency public services.
• Experience with people experiencing disadvantage and barriers to services.
• Experience advising senior leaders, boards or partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional lived experience and co-production for Changing Futures.
• Ensure lived experience informs governance and improvement priorities.
• Provide specialist advice to senior leaders and partner organisations.
• Develop tools and guidance for high-quality co-production.
• Influence policy, service design and commissioning through lived experience.
• Coordinate the Regional Lived Experience Network.
• Build relationships with VCSE, statutory partners and lived experience leads.
• Promote communities of practice and peer learning.
• Support partners to strengthen capability in co-production and participation.
• Create safe, inclusive participation opportunities.
