Job summary

Academy Music Group seeks a General Manager for O2 Ritz Manchester to lead day-to-day operations and drive a vibrant events calendar. You will manage a large team, optimise revenue, oversee licensing and safety, and build strong client relations in a fast-paced live venue environment.

The role requires senior leadership, a personal licence, and a passion for live music and club events. You will work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Proven background in live entertainment or venue management.
• Experience as a manager or in an operational role within a high-volume venue.
• Track record in managing live performances and club events.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and licensing.
• Excellent communication and diplomacy skills.
• Experience in budgeting and controlling operating costs.

Responsibilities

• Meet business objectives and manage venue operations.
• Programme the venue diary to maximise events and revenue.
• Duty manage events and oversee all licencing administration.
• Develop client relationships and generate new business opportunities.
• Forecast and manage budgeting and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and licensing.
