Job summary

Medicare People is seeking a compassionate Live-in Carer in Godstone to provide one-to-one support in clients' homes, promoting independence and quality of life. The role covers personal care, companionship, meal prep, medication prompts, and help with daily routines.

You will work with a friendly care team, with placements across Godstone and surrounding areas, and receive ongoing training, a pension scheme, and 24/7 support to back you up.

Qualifications

• Care experience preferred.
• Kind, patient and compassionate personality.
• Confidence working independently.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience administering medication desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support in a home care setting.
• Help clients with day-to-day living activities.
• Assist with personal care including washing and dressing.
• Encourage independence wherever possible.
• Prepare nutritious meals and support hydration.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Administer medication as required.
• Assist with household chores and laundry.
• Run errands and help with shopping.
• Record important information in care notes.
• Report changes in wellbeing promptly.
• Communicate with families and healthcare professionals.
