Job summary

Bluebird Care Andover and Stockbridge is seeking a Live-in Care Assistant to provide person-centred care in customers' homes across Hampshire/South Buckinghamshire. You will live with clients, promote independence and wellbeing, and work as part of a compassionate team.

The role includes personal care, meal support, and companionship, with comprehensive induction and ongoing training. DBS checks and references are carried out in line with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care tailored to the customer and promote independence.
• Assist with personal care (washing, dressing, continence, mobility).
• Support with medication and preparing meals.
• Take care of household tasks (laundry, cleaning, shopping).
• Work independently with team support and guidance.
• Help customers stay connected to their community through activities.
• Provide comfort and care during illness, hospital visits or end-of-life care.

About the Role

Our customers should feel comfortable and supported in their own homes, and you'll help make that happen. You'll live in the customer's home with them, providing high-quality, person-centred care that promotes independence, dignity, and wellbeing - working both independently and as part of a collaborative, caring team.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver care that's tailored to the customer and encourages their independence
• Assist with personal care including washing, dressing, continence care and mobility
• Support with medication and preparing meals
• Take care of household tasks e.g. laundry, cleaning, shopping and errands
• Work independently with support from our team for advice and guidance
• Support customers to stay connected to their community through social activities, hobbies, and visits from loved ones
• Offer comfort and care through illness, hospital visits, or end-of-life care

What We're Looking For

• A kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care
• Aged 18+
• Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships

• Previous experience is beneficial but not essential- full training is provided
