Job summary

Bluebird Care is seeking a dedicated Live-in Care Expert to join our Stratford & Warwick team. You will reside in the client’s home, delivering personalised care to promote dignity, independence, and companionship.

This role offers paid mileage, a weekly food allowance, uniform and PPE, and full DBS checks as part of our rigorous safeguarding standards. We value compassionate, reliable individuals who can work independently while coordinating with our care team.

Qualifications

• Experience in UK home care settings.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care tailored to the customer and promote independence.
• Assist with activities of daily living (washing, dressing, toileting, mobility).
• Prepare meals and manage prescribed medications.
• Handle household tasks (laundry, cleaning, shopping) and errands.
• Support customers to stay connected with their community through activities and visits.
• Provide comfort during illness, hospital visits, or end-of-life care.
• Work independently while staying connected with the care team for support.
• Receive £50 weekly food allowance and paid mileage.
• Uniform and PPE provided; DBS checks and references arranged.
• Participate in team events and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

As a Live-in Care Expert, your key responsibilities will include:

• Deliver personal care that’s tailored to the customer and encourages their independence
• Assist with personal care like washing, dressing, toileting and mobility
• Manage their medication and prep their meals
• Take care of household tasks like laundry, cleaning, shopping and errands
• Support customers in staying connected to their community through social activities, hobbies, and visits from loved ones
• Offer comfort and care through illness, hospital visits, or end-of-life care
• Work independently while staying connected with our care team for support and guidance
• £50 weekly food allowance
• PAID mileage at 45p per mile for any customer-related travel
• Uniform and PPE provided

Requirements

• Have a Right to Work in the UK without requiring sponsorship or visa transfer
• Must have experience in home care within the UK
• Excellent standard of English is essential
• Living within 30 minutes of Warwick, CV34, so you can attend training and supervisions
• Cooking ability is important
• Driving is advantageous, but not essential
