GMP Recruitment Agency Limited are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established law firm in Cheltenham, for a Litigation Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years' PQE. The role offers hybrid working and a challenging caseload across civil, commercial, property disputes and contentious probate.

The successful candidate will manage complex cases, mentor junior staff and contribute to business development within a collaborative Dispute Resolution team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in litigation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied litigation caseload from initial instruction through to conclusion.
• Advise a diverse client base, including businesses, trusts, charities and individuals.
• Handle a broad range of disputes, including general and civil litigation, commercial disputes, property litigation and contentious probate.
• Develop case strategies and provide clear, practical legal advice throughout proceedings.
• Draft statements of case, witness statements, legal correspondence and other relevant documentation.
• Instruct and work closely with counsel and other professionals.
• Represent clients in court, mediation and settlement negotiations.
• Assist with complex, director-led matters and supervise junior team members.
• Contribute to business development, networking and raising the profile of the Litigation team and firm.

Up to £70,000 | Cheltenham | Hybrid

GMP Recruitment Agency Limited are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established and progressive law firm, who are looking to appoint an experienced Litigation Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years' PQE to join their established Dispute Resolution team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, commercially minded litigator who enjoys handling a diverse and challenging caseload, building strong client relationships and achieving positive outcomes. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team with opportunities to work on complex, director-led cases, support junior colleagues and play an active role in the continued growth of the department.

The Role

The Ideal Candidate

• A qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in litigation.
• Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of contentious matters, ideally including civil and commercial disputes, property litigation and contentious probate.
• Candidates with more specialist litigation experience may also be considered.
• Excellent analytical, drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to develop effective litigation strategies.
• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
• The ability to manage a caseload independently while delivering exceptional client service.
• A proactive and collaborative approach, with an interest in mentoring and supporting junior colleagues.
