Job summary

GMP Recruitment Agency Limited are recruiting for an experienced Litigation Solicitor to join a growing legal team in Gloucester. You will manage your own caseload from instruction to resolution, advising on a range of contentious matters and building client relationships.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years PQE in litigation, strong communication skills and a proactive approach to business development within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

GMP Recruitment Agency Limited is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced and qualified Litigation Solicitor to join a growing legal team based in Gloucester.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing your own caseload from initial instruction through to resolution, providing clear, practical and commercially focused advice to a diverse client base.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a varied caseload of contentious matters, ensuring clients receive a responsive and professional service throughout.
• Advising on residential and commercial landlord and tenant disputes.
• Handling contentious probate matters, contract disputes and property litigation.
• Managing TOLATA claims, company disputes and shareholder litigation.
• Advising on employment-related disputes, where experience is available.
• Preparing legal documentation, conducting research and developing effective strategies to achieve favourable outcomes for clients.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to develop existing business and attract new clients.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to support the continued success and expansion of the litigation team.

The Ideal Candidate

• A qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with a minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in litigation.
• Experience managing a varied contentious caseload and handling matters independently.
• Exposure to areas such as landlord and tenant disputes, contentious probate, contract disputes, property litigation, TOLATA claims or company and shareholder disputes.
• Employment litigation experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Excellent communication and client care skills, with the ability to deliver clear, practical and commercially focused advice.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
• A proactive, commercially minded approach, with an interest in business development and building lasting client relationships.
• A collaborative attitude and the ambition to contribute to the ongoing growth of the team.
