Not disclosed law firm in Manchester is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join its litigation team and handle a busy caseload across consumer and commercial disputes.

The role involves assisting with a range of litigation matters from initial assessment through to resolution, including drafting, research, client communication and case management. Office-based, with opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• A law degree or equivalent legal qualification.
• Previous experience working as a paralegal or within a legal claims environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Confidence working independently and as part of a team.
• Good Microsoft Office and general IT skills.
• Professional, client-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing new claims and carrying out initial legal research.
• Drafting correspondence, witness statements, applications and other legal documents.
• Communicating with clients, solicitors, Counsel and third parties.
• Managing case files, deadlines, hearings and key documentation.
• Assisting with settlement discussions and dispute resolution.
• Preparing matters for hearings and trial.
• Maintaining accurate records and updating the firm's case management system.
• Supporting solicitors and senior team members with the progression of claims.
