Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Mis-Selling Solicitor to join their new litigation team in Manchester. The role involves managing mis-selling claims and supervising junior staff while contributing to department growth.

The ideal candidate will handle calls, provide sound legal advice, draft essential court documents, and maintain up-to-date FCA regulatory knowledge. You will lead as needed and ensure compliance with SRA standards.

Qualifications

• 0-2 PQE in financial mis-selling or complex consumer litigation.
• Strong knowledge of FCA regulations and case law.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of financial mis-selling claims from pre-action through to settlement or trial.
• Review complex financial documentation and provide clear legal advice to clients.
• Draft and review letters of claim, particulars of claim, witness statements, and other court documents.
• Liaise confidently with clients, financial institutions, experts, and counsel.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on FCA regulations and case law developments.
• Negotiate settlements and attend court hearings or mediations when required.
• Supervise and support junior fee earners and paralegals within the department.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, SRA regulations, and FCA-related standards where applicable.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in handling financial mis-selling claims, including PCP, investment mis-selling, PPI, omnibus claims or other complex financial product disputes. You will manage your own caseload, supervise junior team members, and play an integral role in developing the department.
