Job summary

Ignite Talent Group represents our client in Manchester, recruiting an experienced Financial Mis-Selling Solicitor to join a growing litigation team.

You will handle mis-selling claims including PCP, investment mis-selling, PPI, and other complex consumer disputes, supervising junior fee earners and helping develop the department. Strong drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Newly qualified (0-2 PQE) with experience in financial mis-selling or complex consumer litigation.
• Strong understanding of FCA regulations and financial products.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload with deadlines.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Proficiency with case management systems (e.g., Proclaim).

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of financial mis-selling claims from pre-action through to settlement or trial.
• Review complex financial documentation and provide clear legal advice to clients.
• Draft and review letters of claim, particulars of claim, witness statements, and other court documents.
• Liaise confidently with clients, financial institutions, experts, and counsel.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on FCA regulations and case law developments.
• Negotiate settlements and attend court hearings or mediations when required.
• Supervise and support junior fee earners and paralegals within the department.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, SRA regulations, and FCA-related standards where applicable.

You will manage your own caseload, supervise junior team members, and play an integral role in developing the department.
