Job summary

CRA Legal seeks an experienced Financial Litigation Solicitor in Manchester City Centre. You will manage a varied caseload from initial assessment through resolution, including pre-action work and potential litigation in financial mis-selling and consumer finance claims.

The ideal candidate is a qualified solicitor with solid civil litigation experience and exposure to financial disputes. A commercially minded, proactive professional with excellent drafting and client-care skills is sought.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with post-qualification litigation experience as described in the role.
• Experience in civil litigation processes and applications.
• Exposure to financial mis-selling or consumer finance is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload autonomously.
• commercially minded and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of financial litigation matters from inception to settlement or trial.
• Advise clients on financial mis-selling and consumer finance disputes.
• Handle claims involving mis-sold financial products and lending.
• Prepare and submit complaints to financial redress bodies.
• Draft letters of claim, pleadings and witness statements.
• Progress proceedings via County Court and other forums.
• Oversee disclosure, evidence, and procedural directions.
• Liaise with clients, opponents, counsel and experts.
• Maintain case records and meet deadlines and targets.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
