Position: Litigation Legal Secretary

We are working with a highly regarded Legal 500 law firm based in Birmingham, renowned for delivering high-quality legal services and fostering a supportive, collaborative working environment. The firm is now seeking an experienced and professional Litigation Legal Secretary to join their dynamic team.

The Role:

As a Litigation Legal Secretary, you will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to a busy team of fee earners. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the department, supporting with document preparation, diary management, client liaison, and file administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing high-level secretarial support to litigation fee earners
  • Preparing and formatting legal documents, correspondence, and reports
  • Managing diaries, arranging meetings, and handling travel arrangements
  • Filing, archiving, and maintaining client files in accordance with compliance procedures
  • Liaising with clients, courts, counsel, and other third parties
  • Handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a Litigation Legal Secretary role, ideally within Contentious Probate, Dispute Resolution, Civil Litigation, or Commercial Litigation
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong IT and typing skills (digital dictation experience desirable)
  • Professional, proactive, and personable attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
