MPJ Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Litigation Fee Earner for Blackburn, England. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of litigated RTA and Personal Injury claims, handling files from inception to settlement or trial. The role offers hybrid working and a salary from £35,000 plus a great bonus scheme.

You will work with an experienced team, handle fast and multi-track matters where applicable, and contribute to client-focused service delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1.5–2 years' experience handling litigated RTA and/or Personal Injury matters.
• Strong knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and litigation process.
• Experience managing Fast Track matters independently.
• Multi-Track experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of litigated RTA and Personal Injury claims from inception to settlement or trial.
• Progress files efficiently through settlement or trial stages.
• Draft pleadings, witness statements and trial documentation.
• Negotiate settlements with insurers and third parties.
• Liaise with counsel, clients, medical experts and insurers.
• Ensure compliance with CPR and internal service standards.
• Deliver a professional, proactive, client-focused service.

The Role

• You will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of litigated RTA and Personal Injury matters from inception through to settlement or trial.
• Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, you will play a key role in delivering excellent outcomes for clients.

About You

We are looking for a confident and driven legal professional who can work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.

You will ideally have:

• A minimum of 1.5 - 2 years' experience handling litigated RTA and/or Personal Injury matters
• Strong knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and litigation process
• Experience managing Fast Track matters independently
• Multi-Track experience (advantageous but not essential)
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities
• A proactive and results-driven approach
• Qualification as a Solicitor, Legal Executive, or experienced non-qualified fee earner
