A legal recruitment agency is seeking a legal support professional for a temporary position in the UK. The role requires handling litigation and commercial matters, including disputes with franchisees and license issues. Candidates should have over 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), ideally with a background in litigation and commercial law. The start date is ASAP, and the position will last for 2 to 6 months while the company recruits for a permanent role.

We’re working with a major independent food and drink wholesaler, who are in need of legal support for the next 2-6 months whilst they recruit permanently.

The role will involve a blend of litigation and commercial support, including:

Litigation

• Disputes side with franchisee with network
• License disputes in network
• Terminating contracts and bring claim against suppliers
• Using external counsel for things like debt recovery

Commercial

• General commercial work and supporting with ad-hoc commercial matters
• Some compliance work

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ PQE
• Ideally a lawyer from a litigation background but with commercial experience
