Job summary

Clevedon School seeks a compassionate Literacy and Behaviour Support Worker to join the Student Support Department (Horizons). You will plan and deliver intervention strategies to support literacy and behaviour for SEND students, working with the pupil, parents, staff and other professionals.

This permanent role is 37 hours per week, Term Time Only plus 5 inset days, with a start date of 01/10/2026 and a closing date of 20/09/2026.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children/young people in work or voluntary capacity.
• Ability to motivate learners and build rapport while promoting independence.
• Evidence of relevant professional development and qualifications, e.g., Teaching Qualification.
• Recent school-based experience as Learning Support Assistant or similar child-focused role.
• Belief that every child deserves the very best opportunities.
