Job summary

Unity is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Linux Platform Systems team to build and maintain core Linux platform support, including SteamOS integrations and new partnerships leveraging Cloud technology.

You will work on low-level engine systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and have opportunities to contribute to other Unity platforms while expanding your skills in a dynamic, agile environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C++ software engineering and Linux platform development.
• Experience building on Linux desktop distributions.
• Ability to debug, diagnose and solve issues across codebases.
• Understanding of profiling and optimisation techniques.
• Experience with SteamOS is a plus.
• Experience developing with Unity and C#.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain our core Linux platform support.
• Investigate and resolve bug reports to ensure stability.
• Improve quality through automated tests and code reviews.
• Collaborate with Product, PM, Eng and QA to ship features to Linux platforms.
