Unity is seeking a Software Engineer to join the platform systems team to build and maintain our core Linux platform support, including SteamOS and cloud partnerships. You will work on low-level engine systems and collaborate across Unity's teams to extend Linux targets and platform capabilities.

The role focuses on Linux with opportunities to contribute to other platforms, and requires strong C++ development skills, Linux experience, and an ability to diagnose and optimize code across large

Qualifications

• Proficiency with C++ development and software engineering.
• Experience developing on Linux desktop distributions.
• Ability to debug, diagnose and solve problems across a codebase.
• Understanding of profiling and optimisation methods.

Responsibilities

• Developing & maintaining our core Linux platform support.
• Ensuring stability by investigating and resolving bug reports.
• Strengthening quality and delivery through automated testing and thoughtful code reviews.
• Working with Product, Program Management, Engineering and QA teams to bring new engine features to Linux platforms.
