Job summary

Sepura is seeking a Linux/Android Platform Developer to join the Software Team in Waterbeach, Cambridge. You will focus on Android platform development, kernel configuration and the Android toolchain, working within an agile team on mission‑critical embedded systems for TETRA/LTE products.

You’ll be involved in tuning performance, power management and integration of open‑source tooling, while collaborating across departments to deliver robust software for a global customer base.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline
• Strong background in Linux/Android embedded systems and kernel programming
• Experience with Android architecture, low level components and security

Responsibilities

• Android platform development and kernel configuration including scheduler modifications
• Trialing and integrating open‑source debugging/profiling tools
• Prototyping demonstration systems to gather early feedback
• Producing architectural, design and test specifications
• Integration testing and issue resolution
• Participation in project planning and technical reviews
