Job summary

Lanes Group is recruiting a Lining Operative to join our team, delivering exceptional customer service and innovative operational solutions. As part of our team you will receive full training, gain exposure to multiple contracts across the country, and help maintain safety and efficiency on site with a focus

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license is required.
• NRSWA and EUSR water hygiene are desirable.
• CPC Driver Training (HGV) is preferred.
• Confined Space Awareness and Gas Monitor Training are a plus.
• Slinger and Signaller, SSSTS and related certs are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain excellent customer service and communication.
• Update site documentation using electronic tablets.
• Follow approved method statements and safe systems of work.
• Carry out site risk assessments and coordinate with supervisor.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and maintenance for roadworthiness.
• Report issues or hazards according to procedures.
• Set up traffic management and work across contracts (training provided).
• Be flexible for overtime and occasional weekend work; travel may be required.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for Lining Operative to join our team, delivering exceptional customer service and innovative operational solutions. About The Role

• As a Lining Operative, you will:
• Maintain great customer service and communication
• Adhere to company absence reporting procedure
• Updating and completing site documentation using electronic tablet
• Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements and safe system of work.
• Carry out site specific risk assessments and discuss any changes or amendments with team member and site supervisor
• Perform daily vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure roadworthiness
• Report any issues or hazards by following company procedures
• Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently to assist with various tasks
• Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Wearing and maintaining in good condition any Personal Protective Equipment provided for your protection and bringing to your supervisor’s attention any defects or shortcomings with the equipment.
• Working on the back of cutting unit assisting and learning how to use and maintain the cutting unit
• Working with patching and lining teams to pick up various repair methods so they can move around the teams and eventually runs a van across all contracts (Training will be provided)
• Setting up traffic management (Training will be provided)
• Confined spaces entry (Training will be provided)
• The operative will be expected to be flexible picking up overtime if required and the occasional weekend
• Working away will also be required on occasion as we cover multiple contracts across the country

Full training in the above will be provided if not already obtained.
