Sandman Signature Newcastle Hotel is seeking a dedicated Hotel Linen Porter to maintain linen stocks and support guest room cleanliness at our Newcastle property. This role offers part-time, flexible hours with weekend and bank holiday work as required, and training is provided.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong planning, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently, with the physical stamina to lift and move loads. A friendly, team-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Part-time flexible hours; able to work weekends and bank holidays where applicable.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently.

Responsibilities

• Assess linen stock levels and ensure availability.
• Washers and dryers: operate and maintain on site.
• Wash towels on site and sort soiled linen for linen company.
• Deliver linen and stock to risers on each floor.
• Assist with general cleaning tasks in guest rooms and public areas as directed by management.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Hotel Linen Porter to join our team. As a Linen Porter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and comfort our guests expect. Your primary responsibilities will include

Key Elements of the Role include

• Assessing and maintaining linen stock levels
• Cleaning and maintaining washer and driers
• Washing towels on site and sorting soiled linen to be sent to the linen company
• Delivering linen and stock deliveries to risers on each floor
• Assisting with general cleaning tasks in guest rooms and public areas as needed designated by the manager/supervisor

Successful Candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred but not required. Training will be provided and be flexible to work weekends and bank holidays where applicable
• Part time flexible hours and able to work additional hours if required at short notice
• Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work efficiently and independently
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy loads
