Job summary

Sandman Hotel Group in the United Kingdom (Sheffield) is seeking a Linen Porter to join our hospitality team. You will manage linen stock levels, operate laundry equipment, wash towels on site, and deliver linen to risers on each floor to support smooth hotel operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping is preferred.
• Must be flexible to work weekends and bank holidays.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Good organisational skills and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess linen stock levels and replenish as needed.
• Clean and operate washers and dryers.
• Wash towels on site and sort soiled linen for linen company.
• Deliver linen and stock to floor risers as required.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by manager/supervisor.

Linen Porter - £12.71 per hour

Key Elements of the Role include

• Assessing and maintaining linen stock levels
• Cleaning and maintaining washer and driers
• Washing towels on site and sorting soiled linen to be sent to the linen company
• Delivering linen and stock deliveries to risers on each floor
• Additional tasks, such as, but not limited to: cleaning of drains, flipping mattresses, washing nets and extra tasks designated by the manager/supervisor

Successful Candidate will have:

• Housekeeping experience preferred and must be flexible to work weekends and bank holidays where applicable
• Flexibility and able to work additional hours if required
• Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines
• Effective planning and organisational skills
• Good people skills
