Job summary

Rolls-Royce is hiring a Linear Friction Weld Manufacturing Engineer for the Annesley Compressor Rotor Facility in Nottingham. You will provide technical support to operations and lead manufacturing engineering activities to develop and maintain the Linear Friction Welding process, ensuring safety, quality, cost, delivery, and lead time targets are met.

You will drive process improvements, manage schedules and resources, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver robust manufacturing

Qualifications

Degree in engineering (manufacturing, materials or mechanical) required.
Welding experience is essential.
Manufacturing engineering experience preferred.
Materials experience beneficial.
Good numeracy and literacy.

Responsibilities

Ensure manufacturing processes comply with Health, Safety & Environmental standards and Zero Harm requirements.
Ensure processes meet design definition and conform to specifications; raise and resolve safety issues.
Drive zero-defect culture and Right First Time; ensure compliance to policies and standards.
Apply process controls; act as MEA or PCA signatory where applicable.
Identify and develop opportunities for new or improved processes and digital systems.
Plan, schedule and manage activities with stakeholders; manage risks to meet timescales.
Develop, implement and continuously improve processes and digital systems; use data to demonstrate capability.
Collaborate with leaders and teams to drive best practice.
