Job summary

Owen Payne Recruitment is partnering with a well-established food manufacturing business in Wolverhampton to recruit a Level 2 Production Supervisor. You will lead a production team, drive performance, and ensure top-tier food safety, quality and efficiency.

The role offers permanent employment from day one, full training, and clear progression into senior roles. Expect shift patterns (mornings or afternoons), on-site parking, and a supportive working environment to develop your leadership

Qualifications

• Food manufacturing experience (poultry advantageous).
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Ambition to progress into a Production Manager role.

Responsibilities

• As a Level 2 Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a production team to achieve operational targets while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and efficiency.
• You will take ownership of your production area, support continuous improvement initiatives, and play a key role in the day-to-day running of the operation. In the absence of the Production Manager, you will confidently step into a leadership role and support wider business objectives.

You’ll play a key role in the wider operation, stepping up for the Production Manager when required and contributing to key decisions. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to progress into Production Management.
