work as a Production Line Leader (Cell Leader) for our client's leading food manufacturing site, which specialises in producing high-quality cooked and prepared food products for major retailers, food-service providers, and customers across the UK.
Location: Huntingdon.
The rate of pay is £15.03 per hour.
This is a full-time role working a convenient rotating shift pattern. The hours of work are:
- 2 weeks - 6am to 2pm
- Followed by 2 weeks - 2pm to 10pm
Your Time at Work
As a Production Line Leader your duties include:
- Lead and support a team of production operatives within the packing or processing area, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and performance KPIs are achieved.
- Monitor product quality, food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards, ensuring all company procedures are followed at all times.
- Complete and maintain accurate production paperwork, KPI boards, and stock records, ensuring information is updated correctly and on time.
- Ensure production lines are fully operational at the start of each shift and respond quickly to operational issues, breakdowns, or equipment concerns to minimise downtime.
- Train, motivate, and support team members, identifying development needs and reporting performance concerns to Shift Leaders when required.
- Drive continuous improvement across the production area by promoting efficient working practices, strong communication, and a positive team culture.
