Unicrimp seeks an innovative Product Design Engineer to own product development across the full lifecycle. You will drive concepts for lighting products, produce essential documentation, and coordinate with UK and Far East teams to meet quality standards.

The role is office-based at our Tamworth head office, 8:30am-5:00pm, with responsibilities spanning from concept to launch and regulatory compliance across UK requirements.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in product design or mechanical engineering.
• Strong understanding of fundamental physical principles.
• Practical knowledge of injection moulding and manufacturing processes.
• Clear, structured design processes and prototyping/testing approach.
• Ability to communicate design concepts via 2D/3D CAD and model making, SolidWorks preferred.

Aufgaben

• Define specifications for new product concepts, particularly lighting and luminaires.
• Lead projects from concept to launch with required documentation including performance data and manuals.
• Collaborate with the Technical Department and Far East partners to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and support handover to colleagues in the UK or Far East.
• Present design reviews to senior management and assist with IP applications when required.
• Follow established development processes to deliver robust designs within timescales.
