Job summary

DRVN Automotive Group invites applications for a Lighting Lead Engineer in Coventry. You will oversee the complete vehicle lighting system, including headlamps and rear lamps, and act as the primary interface for optical and electronic integration.

The role requires coordinating across Design, Body, Electrical/Electronic, Software, Vehicle Engineering and suppliers to meet programme timing and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering automotive lighting systems end-to-end across concept, design, verification and launch.
• Strong knowledge of lighting optics, photometry, and LED drivers.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage supplier interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Own engineering delivery of front and rear lighting systems through concept, design, verification, release, launch and production.
• Translate vehicle requirements into system and interface specifications covering optical performance, packaging, loads, mass and cost.
• Lead reviews, manage interfaces with bodies, electrical, software and suppliers; ensure on-time delivery and risk mitigation.
• Establish and maintain lighting delivery plan, BOM, requirement status, design maturity and gateway evidence; drive issues to closure.
• Chair technical reviews and lead problem solving, DFMEA, design changes and corrective actions.
