Marmon Lift Recruitment is seeking an experienced Lift Technician to join an established independent lift engineering company, working across Portsmouth and the surrounding Hampshire area. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically accomplished lift professional to take responsibility for complex diagnostics, repairs and technical support across a varied portfolio of lift equipment. Candidates will ideally hold an NVQ Level 4 in Testing and Commissioning, although applications are also welcomed from experienced engineers who have partially completed their NVQ Level 4 qualification.
The Lift Technician Role
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and mechanical faults across passenger and goods lifts.
- Attend challenging breakdowns and provide technical support to field engineers.
- Complete advanced repairs, technical inspections and corrective works.
- Test, commission and hand over newly installed or modernised lift equipment.
- Work across various lift manufacturers while ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards.
- Produce accurate reports and clearly communicate technical findings.
Ideal Lift Technician Candidate
- Strong experience as a Lift Technician or Senior Lift Engineer.
- NVQ Level 4 in Lift Testing and Commissioning preferred, although candidates who have partially completed the qualification will be considered.
- NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Advanced electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills across various lift manufacturers.
- Strong knowledge of lift maintenance, repair, testing and commissioning.
- Safety-conscious, organised and confident working independently or supporting other engineers.
- Full UK driving licence.
