Job summary

Marmon Lift Recruitment Ltd is seeking a motivated Junior Lift Engineer to join an established independent lift engineering company, covering Portsmouth and the surrounding Hampshire area. You will learn to service, maintain and fault-find across a varied portfolio of lift equipment, with specialist training provided.

Qualifications

• Practical experience or qualifications in electrical or mechanical field.
• Backgrounds could include electrical installation, industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Strong interest in developing a career in the lift industry.
• Good problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
• Willingness to learn and undertake training.
• Able to communicate professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planned servicing and maintenance of passenger and goods lifts.
• Learn how to inspect, test and maintain electrical and mechanical lift components.
• Support experienced engineers with fault-finding, breakdowns and minor repairs.
• Develop an understanding of different lift systems, equipment and manufacturers.
• Identify worn or defective components and report required remedial work.
• Complete service documentation accurately using the company's systems.
• Follow all health and safety procedures on customer sites.
• Build the technical knowledge to work independently as a Lift Engineer.
