Job Role:
To be responsible for maximising service related sales from the existing portfolio. To explore and develop new sales opportunities and to continually improve technical expertise and knowledge. Duties will include the sale of lift service agreements, repairs and refurbishments to new and existing customers. Build good working relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues. Drive own sales through the business; to include purchasing, planning, supervising and review.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Liaison
- Point of contact for customers regarding lift repair and maintenance work
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business
- Customer service, responding to queries and questions
Sales
- Prepare accurate quotations for lift repairs, refurbishments, and servicing
- Interpret engineer reports and provide costed recommendations for remedial works
- Follow up on quotations to secure approval and convert into live jobs
·Liaising with suppliers, sourcing and ordering parts and materials
Project Management
- Oversee the repair and maintenance process from quotation through to completion
- Coordinate with engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery
- Liaising with internal technical team to ensure any issues with troublesome lifts are resolved
- Monitor project timelines, costs, and quality, ensuring customer satisfaction
Technical & Compliance
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards
- Ensure all works comply with company procedures, industry standards, and health & safety requirements
- Reviewing and developing both new and existing Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS)
Reporting & Documentation
- Keep accurate records of customer interactions, quotations, and repair project statuses
- Provide regular progress updates to management and clients where required
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
- Proven experience in the lift industry, ideally in a service, repair or project management role
- Strong technical understanding of a broad range of lift types and components
- Ability to read and interpret engineer reports and lift specifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Confident in preparing quotations and presenting proposals to clients
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Competence in Microsoft Office products, (Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 3 or higher in Lift Engineering or equivalent
- Previous experience in a client-facing or managerial role
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations and lift standards
