Job summary

Chaney Lifts Ltd is an established family business in London and the Home Counties, seeking an experienced Lift Service Engineer to maintain and repair lifts. You will join a professional team that prides itself on personal service and strong customer relationships.

The role covers servicing lifts across London and Home Counties, requiring an NVQ level 3 in lift engineering or equivalent, a full driving licence, and the ability to work both in a team and independently.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 or equivalent in lift engineering or working towards EOR/202.
• Full driving licence is required.
• Experience with a variety of lift brands and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out lift maintenance and service visits in your territory.
• Respond to lift breakdowns promptly with a first-time fix mindset.
• Carry out minor lift repairs to keep operations running smoothly.
• Liaise with customers on site and build good working relationships.
• Apply lift engineering principles to maintenance and fault diagnosis.

Chaney Lifts Ltd is an established and successful family business with an outstanding reputation. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lift Service Engineer who would like to join a professional team maintaining and repairing lifts in London and the Home Counties.

Person specification and skills required:

• Qualified or working towards a minimum of NVQ level 3 and EOR/202 or equivalent in lift engineering
• Full driving licence
• You must be an experienced Lift Engineer with in-depth knowledge of a variety of different brands of equipment
• Ability and desire to learn new skills
• Computer / smart phone experience as we use a remote application for logging jobs and completing worksheets
• Working in predominantly in London and home counties
• Whilst you must be a team player it is essential that you can also work on your own initiative

As a qualified service lift engineer, you will be expected to:

• Carry out lift maintenance and lift service visits of the units within your territory
• Respond proactively and timely to lift breakdowns aiming to always achieve first time fix
• Carry out minor lift repairs to achieve continual lift operation
• Liaise directly with the customer whilst on site and build a good working relationship
• Have in-depth knowledge of a variety of different makes and types of equipment
• Demonstrate that you can apply lift engineering principles to maintenance and fault diagnosis
