Job summary

Schindler Ltd (UK) is seeking a Lift Service Engineer in Aberdeen. You will service and maintain lift equipment, perform fault finding, and ensure compliance with procedures using company tooling and PPE.

Experience in lift servicing and a minimum NVQ level 3 in lift maintenance are preferred. A full UK driving license and strong problem-solving skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • Experience in lift Servicing/Maintenance/Repairs preferred.
  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in lift maintenance or equivalent.
  • Advanced Electrical and Mechanical knowledge, including Multi-Brand equipment.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Full UK driving License.
  • Ability to work under pressure, to deadlines and within efficiencies.
  • Ability to work independently with a flexible approach.
  • Good communication skills at different levels (Client/Service Leader/Inspectors).
  • Manual dexterity - Requires repetition of lifting and use of tools.
  • Proven fault finding and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine servicing of lift equipment, including minor repair work and routine replacement of components.
  • Rectify and reduce faults on lift equipment in breakdown cases.
  • Check speed, motor start/stop, noise temperature and power supply with approved tools.
  • Carry out routine inspection and adjustment of installations; reinstate lift and complete service docs.
  • Perform fault finding and diagnostics using manuals and test equipment, restoring equipment to service.
  • Interpret written or graphical information effectively.

Lift Service Engineer

Your Main Responsibilities

In this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Carry out routine servicing of lift equipment, including minor repair work and the routine replacement of components and in accordance with approved company procedures (PPE, PDA, 2+ etc)
  • To rectify and reduce faults on lift equipment in cases of breakdown and check to confirm correct functioning
  • Checks to include, speed, motor start/stop, noise temperature and power supply using approved company issued tooling and protective equipment
  • Carry out the routine inspection, adjustment, of installations in accordance with approved procedures. Reinstate lift and complete service documentation
  • Carry ing out fault finding and diagnostic procedures using a range of techniques, technical manuals and appropriate test equipment, restoring equipment to service
  • Competence is required to make effective use of written or graphical information
Who You Are
  • Experience in lift Servicing/ Maintenance/ Repairs preferred
