Job summary

WeMaintain is seeking an experienced Lift Service & Callout Engineer to support maintenance across Scotland and North East England. You’ll manage planned servicing and respond to callouts, ensuring reliable lift operation and high customer satisfaction.

You will work with Operations and technical teams, taking ownership of equipment condition, documenting visits and contributing to continuous improvement in a field-based role.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining lifts in commercial settings.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
• Proactive attitude to maintenance and reliability improvements.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of maintenance portfolio across customer sites, performing planned preventative maintenance.
• Respond to breakdowns and callouts, diagnose faults and carry out safe repairs.
• Identify worn components and reliability issues, advising corrective action.
• Build strong customer relationships and communicate on-site with clear updates.
• Make informed technical decisions using maintenance history and available diagnostics.
• Collaborate with technical and Operations teams and coordinate repairs requiring extra resources.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using digital tools for clear, accessible documentation.
• Contribute feedback to improve tools, processes and ways of working.
