Job summary

Otis is seeking a Modernisation Engineer to join the North West team. You will work on elevator modernization projects, liaising with customers on site to ensure quality and safety throughout installation and inspection processes.

The role requires NVQ3 in elevators, a valid driver’s licence, and strong electrical and mechanical skills, with an appetite for new technologies and manual trades satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Qualified mechanic with knowledge of elevator equipment.
• Qualified to install elevators to the standards set in your country.
• Hold NVQ3 in elevators.
• Good electrical and mechanical skills.
• Comfortable with plan reading and calculations.
• Appetite for technical products and new technologies.
• Appreciate manual trades as well as the satisfaction of finished work.

Responsibilities

• Work on elevators with quality and efficiency.
• Work in a safe manner in accordance with all Environmental Health & Safety guidelines.
• Stay away overnight as and when required.
• Liaise directly with the customer while on site to build a good working relationship
• Conduct inspection before and after installation to ensure high quality and safety standards
