Job summary

Otis is seeking a Modernisation Engineer to join our team in the North West. The ideal candidate will have an NVQ3 in lifts and a background in Lift Modernization, with a driver’s license and strong electrical/mechanical skills.

You will work on elevators on customer sites, performing installations and inspections, while adhering to safety guidelines. The role requires staying away overnight when necessary and liaising with customers to ensure quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of elevator equipment and ability to apply elevator engineering principles to installation.
• Qualified to install elevators to the standards set in your country.
• Good electrical and mechanical skills.
• Able to read plans/read engineering drawings and perform calculations.
• Appetite for technical products and new technologies.
• Appreciates manual trades and the satisfaction of seeing finished work.
• NVQ3 in elevators required.

Responsibilities

• Work on elevators with quality and efficiency.
• Work safely in accordance with Environmental Health & Safety guidelines.
• Stay away overnight as required.
• Liaise directly with the customer on site to build a good working relationship.
• Conduct inspection before and after installation to ensure high quality and safety standards.
